All members are very welcome to attend our Annual General Meeting, and also anybody else with an interest in the conservation work we are doing.
After the AGM, there will be a break for refreshments, then at 8pm we will welcome Rob Cross, Biodiversity Adviser at Kapiti Coast District Council, who will give an illustrated talk entitled:
'Bird Work on Little Barrier and Kāpiti Islands’.
The purpose of our AGM is to present the 2011 Annual Report which reviews what we have done over the past year, present our Annual Accounts, elect Office Bearers and discuss plans for the coming year.

- General business. This is an opportunity for members to ask questions, propose motions, and discuss plans for the coming year.
Nominations
We would like to invite nominations for 8 positions on the committee, and for the positions of Convenor, Secretary and Treasurer. It's important to check that the person nominated is actually willing to do the job! You can see members of the present committee and office bearers on Page 2 of the 2011 Annual Report (attached). Nominations will also be taken from the floor at the meeting. The following are willing to stand as office bearers: Barbra Chalmers (Secretary), Jenni Borren (Treasurer) and Ken Fraser (Convenor). We'll invite seconders during the meeting. Please send in your nominations by return email before the meeting.
