Nga Uruora - Kapiti Project has won the Rata Community Partnership Award!
This award from Greater Wellington Regional Council recognises "community groups who are working with us
[GWRC] to improve the health of their environment."
We were awarded $500, a framed certificate, a nikau seedling and our photo will on the cover of the
latest Elements mailout (pictured), which came out in early December 07. This is a great boost for Nga
Uruora - for funding clout, for our over-all profile and for our own sense of accomplishment.
So, a big thank you to our members and supporters who hold our project together. This award recognises
your input as much as ours.
Website Overhaul
This was prompted mainly by the beautiful new pamphlets designed by Joe Clarkson & both sponsored and printed by Service Printers for Nga Uruora (thanks!). Also, I was aware the code was pretty buggy on the previous website. Main changes are this news page, a more informative sites page, drop-down menus from the top navigation bar, links in the left navigation bar and a general tidy up. If you find any dead links (aside from the ones already noted when you click them), please let me know.
